1) Sit on 45 degree Leg press machine, with back on cushioned support.
2) Place feet on platform. Grasp handles to sides and extend hips and knees.
3) Place toes and balls of feet on lower portion of platform with heels and arches extending off the platform.
4) Push platform by extending ankles (contracting calf muscles) as far as possible.
5) Return by bending ankles until calves are stretched, this is one repetition.
1) Keep knees straight throughout exercise.
2) It is important to perform each repetition with complete flexion to stretch.
3) Choose machine with rubber platform block.
