Rhodiola rosea (Roseroot) is a plant in the family Crassulaceae that grows in cold regions of the world.Rhodiola rosea is also known as golden root. The plant reaches a height of 12 to 30 inches (70cm) and produces yellow blossoms. It is a perennial with a thick rhizome, fragrant when cut. It is a popular plant in traditional medical systems in Eastern Europe and Asia.
