In Hindu mythology, the sun (Sun is considered as a god) is worshipped as a symbol of health and immortal life. Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation (Salute to the sun) is a common sequence of yoga asanas/poses to salute/worship Sun. Its origins lie in a worship of SUN. The physical base of the practice links together twelve poses/asanas in a dynamically performed series. These asanas are ordered so that they alternately stretch the spine backwards and forwards.
Sequence of Sunsalutation, 12 yoga asanas/poses are as follows.
